1. In an effort to assist Grade 12 candidates preparing for the 2009 National Senior Certificate examinations, the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will be using community radio stations to present and broadcast programmes focussing on Grade 12 examination subjects and examination techniques.
2. The programmes will be broadcast by the following radio stations:

  Radio Zibonele (Monday and Wednesday)
Bush Radio (Tuesday and Thursday)
West Coast Radio (Monday and Wednesday)
Radio Eden FM (Tuesday and Thursday)
3. Schools without reception from any of these radio stations will be supplied with edited recordings of the programmes on CD.
4. The recordings of the programmes may also be downloaded from the WCED e-learning website at http://curriculum.pgwc.gov.za/moodle
5. During the live broadcasts, candidates will have the opportunity to phone in and put questions to the presenters.
6. Candidates, teachers and parents may also submit questions relating to the Grade 12 examinations via e-mail to matric09@pgwc.gov.za. Their questions will be answered by the relevant senior curriculum planners and advisers.

8. Candidates are also welcome to e-mail questions on National Senior Certificate subjects not on the above list to matric09@pgwc.gov.za
9. The programmes will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday at 15:30.
10. The Western Cape Education Department wishes all Grade 12 candidates well with their preparations for the final examinations.
