INTRODUCTION The national Department of Education has instructed provinces to write the Annual National Assessment for Grades 3 and 6 on specific dates so that they can monitor all provinces on those days. These dates differ from the dates provided in Assessment Management Minute 0028/2009.

The tests for Grades 1, 2, 4 and 5 must be administered from 2 to 6 November 2009, as stipulated in Assessment Management Minute 0028/2009.
