The Directorate: Quality Assurance wishes to thank all schools for their co-operation during 2007 and, where applicable, for honouring the due dates on the IQMS Calendar for Educators during 2007.

The Directorate: Quality Assurance manages all the IQMS activities and processes within all the schools of the WCED.
|

To assist schools, the WCED will provide intensive training sessions throughout the province for all first-time implementers. The IQMS co-ordinator at the district office will inform all participants of the venue and date of the training. All training sessions will commence at 14:00 (3 hour session).

Principals are requested to inform the relevant educators to attend these sessions. A registration form (Annexure A) is attached and needs to be completed by all participants to assist with the finalisation of logistical arrangements. Please fax the completed form to the IQMS co-ordinator at your district office before or on Friday 8 February 2008.

The WCED will settle one claim per school if the participant(s) have travelled more than 100 km to the workshop (single trip).

All educators are reminded that the Baseline Evaluation of the Performance Measurement (PM) process for first-time implementers should be completed before 20 March 2008.

Principals and SDTs are reminded that the QA5 and QA7 forms for all WCED remunerated educators, therapists and psychologists who are implementing Collective Agreement 8 of 2003, and Collective Agreements 4 and 5 of 2005 respectively for the first time should reach the IQMS Co-ordinator in the district before or on 18 April 2008.

Principals are reminded not to submit the QA7 and QA7i forms via email or facsimile, as only an original completed QA7 or QA7i form will be accepted. A delay in the submission process will result in a delay in the processing of the summative scores for the relevant educators.

No Summary Score Sheets (QA7 and QA7i for the baselines) will be accepted after 18 April 2008.
|
| 10. |
School Improvement Plans (SIPs) should be amended to capture the development needs of the first-time implementers at school level.
