1. With Curriculum Development Minute 0010/2008, copies of the second Volume of Reflections were distributed to schools, Education Districts, Head Office, Higher Education Institutions and other relevant institutions.
2. Electronic versions are available at http://wced.wcape.gov.za/HCDS should an institution or individual require copies of the series.
3. The third volume in the Reflections on Human Capital Development Strategy is now available, and is attached as a hard copy in this circular minute. Each topic considers different issues in education planning and delivery, and provides an overview of the current context and reviews information and ideas relevant to the topic. Recommendations for policy planners and practitioners in meeting the goals of the HCDS are outlined. Copies of the documents in Afrikaans/isiXhosa are available electronically on request.
4. WCED staff is encouraged to critically engage with the content and to create space for debate amongst themselves and with the HCDS project team.
5. It is hoped that all stakeholders find the contents illuminating and refreshing. The HCDS project team looks forward to your comments and discussions.
