The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) initiates partnerships with other government departments and businesses in order to facilitate the rollout of adult education and training (AET) services. Centres involved in these partnerships are required to compile a quarterly report to employers, detailing learner attendance and progress.

The report for the second quarter of 2008 is due on 31 July 2008.

The AET sub-directorate also aims to pilot CEMIS for the AET sector to track the progress of each learner involved in AET.

For this purpose, centres involved in partnerships should note the following:

A revised template for reporting purposes is attached. This template must be used for all partnership reports. These must be completed, signed by the centre manager and forwarded or faxed to Mr P. Neethling at 021 467 2268 or emailed to pneethli@pgwc.gov.za.

CLCs involved in private partnerships should also submit a report. The template should clearly indicate that it is a private partnership.

Invoices will only be generated once reports have been received.
