| EDUCATOR SUPPLY AND DEMAND IN THE WESTERN CAPE: SCHOOL SURVEY |
1. |
The Cape Higher Education Consortium is conducting research which aims to establish the extent to which the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is able to meet the current and future requirements of all phases and subjects/learning areas of the National Curriculum Statements and associated language policy issues. The focus of the study is on identifying in which phases, subjects and learning areas, and types of schools, there are gaps in educator supply.
|
2. |
The intention of this survey is to obtain information on educator replacements, recruitments and shortages. The information provided will be used to assist the four universities in the Western Cape and the WCED to respond to teaching supply and demand needs.
