1. The book Data Handling in the GET Band accompanies this curriculum minute (posted).
2. The book has been printed by the WCED on request of teachers who attended the Mathematics' Solution Conference in 2007. The writers, Jackie Scheiber and Meg Dickson, have kindly given the WCED permission to print their book for distribution to schools.
3. The book will assist teachers, especially in the Senior Phase, to teach LO5: Data Handling. Intermediate Phase teachers must refer to the NCS assessment standards for their grade, as not all the content in this book is necessary for the Intermediate Phase.
4. The Mathematics Curriculum Advisers at the respective education districts will organise workshops to discuss the content of this book. The following curriculum advisers will be co-ordinating the workshops:
