In previous examinations, candidates who wrote Harmony and Composition had access to a musical instrument for the duration of the paper. |

For the National Senior Certificate examination candidates may request to have limited access to a musical instrument. |

The chief invigilator must accompany the candidate to a separate music room for a period of 5 to 10 minutes. |
| 4. |
No music teacher will be allowed in the room. |

The candidate must be supervised as stipulated in the National Policy on the Conduct, Administration and Management of the National Senior Certificate, as published in the Government Gazette No. 30048 of 6 July 2007. |
