The Western Cape Education Department [WCED] welcomes all our educators and learners back to school and wishes them a successful and rewarding year in 2007.

The WCED is planning to have a RCL Conference during 2007. The specific date for the Conference will be communicated to schools at a later date. It is thus important for the elections of RCLs to be finalised by the end of March 2007.

Schools are requested to finalise their annual school RCL elections by end February 2007 at the latest. This is to enable school RCLs to participate in the elections for the WCRCL.

All schools are requested to forward the names of the elected RCL learners for 2007 to the Directorate: IMGP at fax 021 456 2268. [Form attached]

The Principal must please ensure that the teacher liaison officer and RCL chairperson at the school receive a copy of this minute and the attached document.
