The Western Cape Education Department is committed to ensuring that all learners receive effective career guidance in order so that they may make suitable subject selections for Grade 10 and appropriate career choices after Grade 12. All learners should, therefore, be exposed to a wide variety of the most recent information on career options and developments in South Africa.

The PACE World of Work 2007 CD ROM will be posted to all high schools in the Western Cape in the second term of 2007. This is the updated version of the previous PACE World of Work CD ROM and it contains more recent information on the SA economy, study and work opportunities, and bursaries.

Life Orientation teachers should ensure that the information on this CD is conveyed to all high school learners.
