The NCS content document in Physical Sciences, dated June 2006, was developed to ensure a common understanding of the content in this subject. The document not only elaborates on the content in the Physical Sciences National Curriculum Statement, but also contains the core content that will be the focus of the examinations in Physical Sciences in Grade 10 -12 until 2010. Each school is to receive one copy of this document.

Schools must make their own copies of the document and provide one copy to each teacher responsible for teaching Physical Sciences. A master copy must be kept on the files of school's Physical Sciences Department.

An Afrikaans translation of the document will be sent to Afrikaans-medium schools during the third term of 2007.
