The Policy Implementation Directive for Compliance with Employment Equity was distributed on 17 January 2006.

Subsequent to the distribution of the policy directive, the Employment of Educators Act was amended, which necessitated changes to the directive. Paragraphs 7.2, 7.3, 7.5, 7.6 and 7.8 have therefore been amended.
