The attached audit of persons living with disability has been designed mainly to establish how many of the Western Cape Education Department (WCED) personnel are living with disability.

The intention is not to discriminate against people living with disability, but rather to identify the specific disabilities that personnel are living with so as to know whether adequate provision has been made in the working environment to allow those persons to perform their duties optimally.

It is aimed at developing and re-equipping the personnel with the necessary skills and knowledge so as to enable them to contribute effectively in the decision making process and also aimed at mainstreaming disability within the framework of the WCED.

To ensure confidentiality, personnel are requested to place their completed questionnaire in an envelope and seal it.
|

The questionnaires are to be submitted by 15 August 2006.

| 5.1 |
All Head office personnel are requested to hand their questionnaires in at Room 8-74, Grand Central Building.
