The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is committed to filling vacant educator posts permanently as this will contribute significantly to stability in education profession.

It has therefore been decided to change the closing date for the capture, checking and updating of information on the website to 23 June 2006. This enabled schools to include new vacancies resulting from appointments made to posts advertised in Vacancy List 1/2006.

The new closing date necessitates a revision of all the dates given in DPE Minute 0015/2005 of 2 December 2005. The following table provides the revised dates relevant to the advertising of vacant funded posts in the coming Vacancy List 2/2006.
