In Annexure A, paragraph 3.5.2, of Circular 0062/2004 of 15 November 2004 you were requested to submit all requisitions by no later than 30 November 2005 to the ordering office at Kuils River. This measure was put in place to allow the personnel at Kuils River the opportunity to process all requisitions into orders and also to give suppliers ample time to make deliveries to schools so that invoices could be submitted timeously for payment.

The cut off point of 30 November 2005 was determined because the Norms and Standards allocation for the 2005/06 financial year has been done and is therefore only available until 31 March 2006.

In view of the above-mentioned the Western Cape Education Department will unfortunately have to determine a final cut off point in order to allow enough time for the timeous payment of invoices.

The deadline for the handing in of requisitions has already closed. All requisitions that are received after 8 March 2006 will thus be returned to schools. Invoices with regard to LTSM that have already been delivered but which have been received after 8 March 2006, will no longer be paid in the current financial year and schools unfortunately have to pay them from their own funds.
