1. Question papers for the Senior Certificate examination and ABET Level 4 assessment of October/November 2006 will be delivered directly to examination centres by Skynet Courier Service, which will collect the scripts again and return them to the Department. 3. To ensure the smooth functioning of this process, you are requested to inform the chief invigilator fully of the above and to make the necessary arrangements for the safe keeping of the question papers and answer scripts.
4. RETURN OF THE SCRIPTS
4.1 The Department provides grey plastic bags for returning the scripts, mark sheets, attendance registers, seating plans and other examination-related correspondence. Each plastic bag can hold about 200 scripts and may be used for the scripts of more than one examination session, subject, grade or learning area.
4.2 It is important to note that plastic bags containing fewer than 200 scripts may under no circumstances be kept back on days when the courier service collects examination scripts.
4.3 In order to save costs in respect of the courier service, invigilators are urgently requested to put smaller packages in one bag so that the number of parcels per consignment is limited to the minimum.
4.4 Tracking stickers and dispatch notes intended for each of the specific dispatch days will be provided to centres by Skynet Courier Service. Please ensure that the documents mentioned are completed correctly and that a tracking sticker is placed on each package.
4.5 Should you experience a shortage of Skynet Courier Service's labels, please inform the representative who collects the packages at the school so that the supply can be replenished.
4.6 After the representative of Skynet Courier Service has collected the package, you will be handed a copy of the dispatch note, which is to be filed for record purposes by the chief invigilator.
