The Department of Education has developed a youth guide to opportunities for further study.

The guide will provide FET learners with information regarding opportunities for further study and seeks to support young people in making decisions about study opportunities beyond Grade 12.

The information in the booklet relates to the requirements for Learning Outcome 4, Careers and Career Choices, in the subject Life Orientation in the FET Band.

Every high school will receive two copies of the booklet, which should be used as an additional resource for Life Orientation teachers and learners.

The booklet will be posted to schools in February 2006.
|

Principals are requested to bring the contents of this minute to the attention of the Life Orientation teachers in the FET Band and also to ensure that Life Orientation teachers have access to the booklet.
