1. |
The Directorate Personnel Management (Public Service) receives an increasing number of requests for the presentation of information sessions regarding the respective service conditions of personnel and there appears to be a lack of information, especially with regard to leave. |
2. |
As the requests are received on an ad hoc basis and often at very short notice, from 1 January 2005 requests for information sessions will be considered in terms of the following guidelines: |
2.1 |
The audience must, where possible, consist of a group of principals, personnel attached to a specific circuit or a number of circuits, etc. and this, and whether there will be trade union representation, must be indicated in the request. The Personnel Office does not have the capacity to visit individual schools on a continuous basis. |
2.2 |
The specific need must be indicated, in other words whether, for example, a session should cover leave or pensions or housing benefits or a combination of service conditions. |
2.3 |
The exact place for and time of the presentation must be indicated. |
2.4 |
For planning purposes, requests must be submitted in writing to the Personnel Office at least a month before the proposed date of the presentation. |
3. |
Heads of educational institutions and personnel attached to EMDCs are kindly requested to co-operate in this regard. |
