1. Attached are the delegations in respect of power vested in the Accounting Officer in terms of Section 44 of the Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (as amended by Act 29 of 1999).
2. These delegations come into effect immediately and must be brought to the attention of all concerned.
3. Education Finance Instruction 5/2003, dated 27 March 2003, is hereby amended.
4. Where reference is made to “the accounting officer’s supply chain management system in the financial delegations”, please refer to the Delegations of the Accounting Officer’s Supply Chain Management System, which deals with matters relating to the procurement of goods and services. The latter document is available at the Directorate: Logistical Services.
5. Owing to the large volume of documents to be distributed, these delegations of power are distributed in English only.
