1. SKYNET COURIERS will deliver the question papers on 24 and 25 May 2005 to examination centres.
2. On the delivery of question papers, centre managers/principals must ensure that they receive the correct number of boxes and sign for receipt thereof on the delivery note. These boxes may only be opened for the first time in the presence of the circuit manager. The circuit manager must report shortages of question papers and may do so by contacting Mr CA Berry at telephone number (021) 467 2265.
3. In order to adhere to the safe-keeping of question papers, please complete the attached checklist in the presence of a departmental official/ chief invigilator and fax it immediately to the number provided.
4. To prevent irregularities regarding the safe-keeping of question papers and marksheets, the centre manager/principal must ensure that these items are stored in a strongroom.
5. The centre manager/principal is solely responsible for the safe-keeping of the keys. This also applies in cases where a school’s question papers are stored at another school or institution. The circuit manager must ensure that this instruction is meticulously adhered to.
6. Under no circumstances may question papers be removed from the school before or during the examinations. Arrangements should be made between the centre manager/principal and the chief invigilator regarding the unlocking of the strongroom and other security matters related to examination papers.
7. The safe-keeping of question papers cannot be overemphasized and it is therefore imperative that every precaution be taken in the storage of question papers.
