In accordance with a syllabus instruction in paragraph 6.1.3(b) of Section 6 of the interim Senior Secondary Syllabus,1996, the additional industrial region to be examined in Geography will be changed annually.

The industrial regions to be examined in the Senior Certificate Examination of November 2006 and the supplementary examination of March 2007 are as follows:
Geography Higher Grade: South West Cape and Port Elizabeth-Uitenhage
Geography Standard Grade: South West Cape
