1. One of the requirements of the interim syllabus for Music HG and SG and Music Performance (Second Instrument) SG is that a list of each candidate's chosen pieces must be submitted to the Curriculum Adviser (Music) for approval.
2. Each candidate's list of the pieces to be performed must be set out as follows:
  • Full first name(s) and surname of the candidate

  • An indication as to whether the candidate is offering Music HG or SG or Music Performance (Second Instrument) SG

  • The name of the chosen instrument

  • The names of the pieces according to style periods

  • The scales and arpeggios selected from the current syllabi of UNISA, Trinity College of London, Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and the Step System. (Indicate the name of the examining body.)

3. Principals are requested to submit these lists, as well as copies of the music, to the relevant curriculum adviser at their EMDC (refer to the following list) before 28 February 2005.
