1. The provisional lists of prescribed books for literature study for 2006 are enclosed. These lists exclude Grade 10 lists, which will be sent to schools later in the year.
2. The lists have been compiled with the purpose of reducing the need to purchase new books, but provision has also been made for the introduction of new titles.
3. You are invited to submit recommendations or comments on the matter (preferably in writing) by no later than 14:00 on 18 March 2005. The Prescribed Book Committees will consider all recommendations and comments and, if necessary, amendments will be made before the final lists are distributed.
