1. Enclosed are the certificates for the following RNCS Orientation Courses for educators at your school:

    • Foundation Phase 5-day Teachers’ Orientation Course

    • Foundation Phase 3-day SMT Orientation Course

    • Intermediate Phase 5-day Teachers’ Orientation Course

    • Intermediate Phase 2-day SMT Orientation Course

    Each educator’s details were checked against the forms which were returned by schools in May 2005 and everything possible has been done to see that the details on the certificates are correct. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to change the details on the printed certificates.

2. Only educators who satisfied the following criteria are receiving certificates:

    • The educator’s name was on the list submitted by the EMDC for the orientation course.

    • The educator attended each day of the orientation course.

    • The educator signed the register on each day of the orientation course.

3. If an educator qualifies for a certificate, but did not receive one, please submit the following details in writing to H. Visser, Room 807, WCED, Private Bag X9114, Cape Town, 8000:

    • Educator’s name, Persal number or ID number

    • Training dates and training venue attended

    • Name of school where the educator was teaching at the time of the RNCS course, and EMDC district of that school.

4. If the above can be confirmed by EMDC officials, the educator will receive a certificate. If not, no certificate will be issued.
