1. The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will conduct a common examination for level 3 as indicated in Circular 018/2005. 2. Centre managers are requested to complete the attached registration data form for every learner who will be writing this examination. The centre data form must also be completed. The forms, on which the address and contact details of the centre must be provided, must reach Head Office by no later than 23 June 2005. No late entries will be accepted.
3. Mark sheets
3.1 This common examination will be marked internally at each centre.
3.2 The final examination mark, together with the site-based assessment mark, will be appear as a percentage on the final mark schedule that will accompany the question papers later this year.
3.3 Centres will be responsible for providing learners with final reports for 2005.
3.4 The ABET curriculum advisers will moderate and approve the final learning area results.
3.5 A copy of the approved final mark schedule must be sent to Head Office to enable the WCED to send statements of results certificates to the centres in 2006.
