The attached timetable for the ABET Level 4 examination in June 2005 has been received from the National Department of Education. The examination will commence on 1 June 2005 and end on 23 June 2005. Each learning area will be written from 14:00 to 17:00. As this assessment is a national process, the dates and times are applicable to the whole country and no deviation from the timetable can be allowed.

As in the past, EMDC and Head Office officials, and UMALUSI representatives will monitor the examination process.

Should the assessment be conducted on the premises of a mainstream school, the centre manager must make prior arrangements for the use of the strongroom, the administration building, classrooms, ablution facilities, etc.

Centres must ensure that their chief invigilators and invigilators are well-trained and able to deal with the administration of the examination.
|
5. |
In order to manage the administrative matters, centre managers must be at the examination centres before the commencement and also at the end of each assessment session.

No person may be allowed into the examination venue unless he or she has produced an authorised identification card.

Centre managers are also requested to:

provide all their educators and candidates with the timetable as soon as possible to enable them to make their final preparations for the examination.

7.2 |
remind all their candidates that their identity documents and admission letters must be produced before the commencement of each assessment session.
|
7.3 |
wish all their candidates well for the assessment on behalf of the Western Cape Education Department.
