The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) cares for its employees and has invested in an Employee Wellness Programme (EWP) in order to provide its valued employees with the necessary support and guidance in dealing with life's challenges and opportunities. A toll-free service for counselling by qualified counsellors is available for your use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
2. From time to time everyone needs help in dealing with life's challenges and opportunities. The EWP is available to assist you to achieve and maintain your highest level of job performance and provides you with the opportunity to resolve a wide range of personal and job-related issues. Should you need wellness in addition to your usual skills in coping with these issues, the EWP may be the answer.
3. When you are overwhelmed by problems at home or at work, you can obtain confidential help by dialling 0800 20 44 81.

5. This service is rendered by THE CAREWAYS GROUP, an external service provider contracted to the WCED.
