Enclosed are generic summary recording sheets for each learning area offered in Grade 9. These have been printed with the name and examination number of each learner. |

The sheets must be completed per learning area according to the headings provided: a mark out of 75 for Continuous Assessment; a mark out of 60 for Section A of the Common Task for Assessment and a mark out of 40 for Section B of the Common Task for Assessment. |

The data on the sheets is required for capture and analysis by the national Department of Education. |

Note that signatures and the school stamp are required on each page. |

The completed recording sheets must be returned via SKYNET Courier Services (021 531 9191) to reach this office by Friday, 3 December 2004, for attention, Mr L. van Gensen, Western Cape Education Department, Directorate Examinations (GETC), Room 417, Lower Parliament Street, Cape Town, 8001. |

Submission by this date is mandatory and schools that do not comply will have to account for this non-submission. |
