1. Two copies of the final schedule of entries have been forwarded to you under separate cover. One must be kept for record purposes and the other must be completed by you in accordance with the instructions given below.
2. Please note that the examination numbers printed on this computer printout are the final examination numbers which have been allocated to each candidate.
3. Principals/centre managers of schools and colleges are requested to check if all the corrections have been effected. If there are typing errors on the schedules, you must immediately notify the Directorate: Examinations in writing.

NB. The Department will not effect any new subject and/or grade changes. (Please refer to Examination Minute 0031/2004 dated 27 July 2004, as well as Circular 0223/2003)

4. The actual marks obtained by each candidate in his/her subjects in the internal examination in June and September must be entered onto the second schedule which should then be returned to the Department. The marks must be written in INK under the heading “June and September” in the appropriate space opposite each subject for which the candidate has entered. The candidates’ aggregates for June and September should be entered immediately below the subject marks.
5. Only the final mark obtained by the candidate in the subject(s) must be indicated on the schedule. The marks for the oral examination, prepared work, etc. must be included in the final mark. The words per minute for Typing must also be indicated next to the subject on the schedule.
6. If a candidate was absent from the internal examination at the end of the third term, kindly indicate this on the schedule next to the subject and insert marks based on his/her attainment during the year in the subject.
7. If a candidate has been granted exemption from the requirement of having to pass or having to offer an official second language, the word “Exempted” should be written opposite the subject concerned in red ink, as well as the reference number and date of the Department’s letter authorising the exemption. The letter “M” appears in the “MT” column in respect of candidates who are immigrants.
8. The standard average (actual mark) in respect of each subject for the September examination must be filled in on the enclosed printout entitled “STANDARD AVERAGES OBTAINED IN SEPTEMBER 2004”.
9. A copy of the final schedule of entries in respect of private candidates who requested to write the examination at your school, will be forwarded to you in due course where applicable.
10. The completed final schedule of entries together with the “Standard Averages” must be signed by you and be returned to the Department not later than Friday, 29 October 2004.
