1. As most schools are currently using the OFFICE 2000 program (or later editions of it), the data files for Computer Studies Paper 2, will as from the November 2004 examination and until further notice, be provided to schools in the OFFICE 2000 format.
2. A few schools are still using the OFFICE ’97 program and, because the OFFICE 2000 data files are not reverse convertible, these schools will be supplied with the data files in OFFICE ’97 format. Schools that require data files in OFFICE ’97 format must apply for it before 30 June 2004. (The schools concerned should note that 2004 will be the last year in which the OFFICE ’97 format may be used. According to the Microsoft agreement, all schools can now obtain the latest editions of the OFFICE program.)
