In accordance with the monitoring protocol of 2003 which applies to both the Senior Certificate and the ABET level 4 examinations, the latter examinations will be monitored again this year as part of the quality assurance responsibilities of the Department of Education. |
3. |
During the examination period, the monitoring team should visit at least one ABET centre per week (i.e. a total of 3 visits) and report back to the delegated EMDC assessment representative on 7 June, 14 June and 21 June 2004. |
4. |
The EMDC assessment representative must use the standard report format to collate the monitoring team's reports. The collated reports must be sent to the Examination Monitoring Co-ordinator (Mr T.J. Magwaca) on 9 June, 17 June and 23 June 2004. |
5. |
Besides the intensive monitoring done for UMALUSI, EMDCs must use the monitoring instrument ABET M2B: Report on Monitoring of ABET Level 4 Examination to monitor at least 50% of all centres participating in the ABET examinations. This instrument can be used by all other officials who visit ABET examination centres. |
