The national Department of Education has notified the WCED that there will not be a new intake of educators for the Advanced Certificate of Education: Mathematics, Natural Science and Technology (Intermediate and Senior Phase) (ACE: MST) in 2004. The next intake will be in February 2005. Educators who started the ACE: MST in 2003 must continue this year (2004) with their second year. They must register on the date specified by the relevant university. |

Annexure A is a list per EMDC of educators who have been provisionally accepted for the ACE: MST courses for 2005/6. Educators on this list will be requested via a minute in the latter half of the year to confirm their willingness to begin their studies in February 2005. |

This minute, to be issued in the latter half of 2004, will also request other educators whose names are not on Annexure A, but who wish to be considered for this training, to apply. |
