1. Schools should by now have received Curriculum Minute DCD/0004/2004. Principals are requested to return Annexure A of that minute as soon as possible to expedite the finalisation of the numbers of participants per venue.
2. Training will be decentralised in the seven EMDCs, and schools have been clustered within the EMDC context. Please refer to Annexure A of this document for the training matrix. Schools are requested to attend the cluster to which they have been allocated.
3. The two educators whose names have been put forward by their schools, should attend.
4. All courses will commence promptly at 14:00 on Friday afternoon and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 to 15:00.
5. Travelling costs will be reimbursed. Educators who intend claiming travelling costs must be in possession of the following details on the day of the course:
  • PERSAL number

  • engine capacity of the vehicle and year of manufacture

  • the kilometer distance from school to venue

6. Educators from the rural EMDCs who require accommodation for Friday evening, are requested to make their own arrangements. Suitable Bed and Breakfast accommodation is recommended. These educators should submit their claims for accommodation before departing on Saturday afternoon.
7. The WCED and presenters of the PACE programme look forward to meeting the Life Orientation educators at these workshops.
