The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) needs to be open, accountable and responsive to the public’s needs. To do this it needs a complaints management system that is underpinned by an effective complaints management policy and procedures. |

The attached Complaints Management Policy and Procedures contains processes that need to be followed when a complaint is lodged within the WCED. |

Principals are requested to study the procedure very carefully and to implement it consistently. |

Kindly bring the contents of this circular and the Complaints Management Policy and Procedures to the attention of all district officials, school management teams, members of governing bodies and parents. |
