1. Please be informed of a slight amendment in respect to the timeframe for admission for 2017/18.
2. This amendment should be read in conjunction with Circular 0040/2016 which applies to applications received in 2017 for admission to ordinary public schools in 2018.
3. The timeframe for schools to inform parents of the outcome of applications has been extended to 03 June 2017.
4. Schools must also indicate the outcome of all applications received on the School Admissions Management Information (SAMI) system by 03 June 2017.
5. This amendment was introduced to allow more time for schools to process applications, given the large volumes that schools receive.
6. The rest of the dates as per Circular 0040/2016 remain the same.

School admissions close (all ordinary public schools) 24 March 2017
Parents are informed of the outcome by letter 03 June 2017
Parents confirm acceptance 30 June 2017
Schools fill available places 3rd Term 2017
