1. The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) is pleased to provide schools with the National Senior Certificate Awards criteria for 2016 (Annexure A).
2. The awards are aimed at recognising the achievements of public and independent schools, with a particular focus on increasing the number of candidates passing the National Senior Certificate examinations and improving the quality of passes.
3. The WCED takes this opportunity to wish all schools success with the writing of the 2016 National Senior Certificate examinations.
