Following the conclusion of PSCBC Resolution 2 of 2015 all employees who are appointed permanently or on probation may apply to change the payment date for their 13th cheque/service bonus. Attached please find a circular from the Department of Public Service and Administration (DPSA) in this regard. This provision also applies to educators. |

The following conditions will apply in respect of the amendment:
- Employees are allowed to make a once-off election on the payment date for their 13th cheque/service bonus.
- Serving employees must submit their requests by 16 November 2015.
- Staff appointed with effect from 01 November 2015 shall, on the date of their appointment, be allowed to make a once-off election on the payment date for their 13th cheque/service bonus.

The new payment dates will be effective from 01 March 2016. If no request for a change in the payment date is submitted, employees will continue to receive their 13th cheque/service bonus in their birthday month. |

Completed request forms (attached hereto) should be forwarded to the Directorate Service Benefits at Head Office by no later than 16 November 2015. |
