This policy replaces the WCED Learner Transport Policy for Ordinary Public Schools, which was sent to schools under the cover of Circular 0025/2013, dated 30 April 2013. |

The attached amended policy document applies with immediate effect to all Western Cape ordinary public schools with Western Cape Education Department (WCED) funded learner transport schemes. |
| 3. |
School principals and district directors are requested to make this policy document available to all interested parties, including governing body members and staff members at schools and district offices who deal with the administration of learner transport schemes. |
| 4. |
All relevant staff members must be trained to secure the sound administration of the learner transport schemes function. |
| 5. |
The stipulations contained in the attached policy must be strictly adhered to. |
