1. Circular 0030/2014 reported that workbooks for Grades 1 to 9 learners for the first 6 months of 2015 will be delivered to all public schools by 30 September 2014. Grade R workbooks for this period will be delivered to public schools by 5 December 2014.
2. In order to identify shortages and surpluses for Grades 1 to 9 workbooks, all public schools should access CEMIS between 3 and 7 November 2014. During this time schools must capture their projected learner numbers for January 2015 and the total number of workbooks received for Grades 1 to 9 for the first 6 months of 2015.
3. When accessing CEMIS, schools must select the "Administration" option on the menu bar. On the drop down list, select "Workbooks" and then select the "Welcome and guidelines" or "Capture" screen.

5. Once all the school’s workbook details have been captured for the particular phases, the sign off process must be completed.
6. The information gathered regarding workbook shortages and surpluses will be made available to district officials who will be responsible for facilitating the distribution and collection of workbooks if there are shortages or surpluses.
7. Between 13 October and 5 December 2014 workbooks for Grades R to 9 for the last 6 months of 2015 will be delivered to all public schools. The guidelines provided in Circular 00030/2014 must be applied when these workbooks are received.
8. Kindly bring the contents of this circular to the attention of all relevant personnel.
