The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) requires every learner to have the basic stationery required for each subject in their grade from the first school day of 2014. |

These essential stationery items include, but are not limited to, soft- and hard-cover exercise books, a pencil, a pen, an eraser, a ruler, wax and pencil crayons, a maths set, a pair of scissors and a glue stick. |

The WCED is aware that schools employ various methods of procuring learner stationery. To ensure that all learners have their basic stationery on the first school day of 2014 and to monitor that provision, schools are requested to complete the attached Annexure A form and return it to the school’s IMG manager by Thursday, 31 October 2013. |
