Enclosed is a copy of the final timetable for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) Examinations of October - November 2013. |

This timetable has been endorsed by the Heads of Education Committee and approved by the Council of Education Ministers. |

The examination is scheduled to commence on 28 October 2013 and conclude on 29 November 2013. The Computer Applications Technology (CAT) and Information Technology (IT) practical examinations will be written on 08 and 09 October 2013 respectively. |

Two examination sessions are scheduled for each day. The morning session will commence at 09:00 and the afternoon session will commence at 14:00. |
| 5. |
Normal classes must continue until 19 October 2013, so as to ensure as much teaching time as possible. Principals of schools may choose to allow the Grade 12 learners of 2013 to study at home from 21 October 2013 in order to prepare for the NSC examination. |

Principals are requested to report all timetable clashes to the WCED. Such reports must be submitted in writing by Friday, 01 February 2013 to the following address:

Principals are to inform all candidates writing the National Senior Certificate examinations that they must be available until the last day of the school term (04 December 2013) in case it should be necessary, for whatever reason, to reschedule the writing of a particular examination paper. |
