1. Enclosed is a copy of the final timetable for the National Senior Certificate (NSC) Supplementary examination of February/March 2010.
2. The NSC Supplementary examination is scheduled to commence on 11 February 2010 and conclude on 25 March 2010.
3. Two examination sessions are scheduled for each day. The morning session and afternoon session will commence at 09:00 and 14:00 respectively.
4. Registration forms for the supplementary examination will be posted to all candidates who qualify for the examination immediately after the release of results. The completed registration forms must be posted to the following address:

5. The closing date for the supplementary examination entries is Friday, 22 January 2010. Principals of schools and candidates are requested to adhere strictly to this date, as late entries will not be accepted.
6. Examination centres for the writing of the supplementary examinations will be established at secondary schools and other venues as determined by the Department. If a school is not available as a venue for the supplementary examination, the principal must notify his or her IMG Manager by no later than Friday, 22 January 2010, so that an alternative venue can be arranged.
7. The same chief invigilators and invigilators who were involved in the conduct of the November 2009 National Senior Certificate examination will be used for invigilating this examination, as stipulated in their signed contracts.
8. The chief invigilator must ensure that candidates enter the examination venue 35 minutes before the official starting time of the examination session. This time is to be used as follows:
8.1 The first 25 minutes must be used to settle the candidates in their correct seats, to distribute question papers, etc.
8.2 During the remaining 10 minutes candidates must be given an opportunity to read through the question paper.
8.3 No writing or making of notes is allowed at any stage during the 35 minutes. Any infringement of this rule will constitute an irregularity.
8.4 Candidates must finish writing at the time indicated on the examination timetable.
9. Principals are required to bring the contents of this circular to the attention of all candidates who wrote the November 2009 National Senior Certificate Examination.
