In terms of Provincial Treasury Instruction 16A2.5, the authority to arrange transversal contracts for the procurement of goods and services by all departments is vested in the Provincial Treasury. The Provincial Treasury has arranged a transversal contract for advertising and HR value-adding services for the period 1 October 2009 to 30 September 2012. The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) will participate in the transversal contracts so arranged. |

The contract for advertising services was concluded with Human Communications (Pty) Ltd and the contract for rendering of HR value-adding services was awarded to Ayanda Mabanga Communications (Pty) Ltd. The contact details of the two service providers are provided below: |

Directorates and district offices who make use of these services must make allowances for these costs in their budgets. You are reminded that these services must be requisitioned through the submission of a LOG 1 form, as well as a PGWC 002 BAS allocation form reflecting the budget. With regard to advertising services, a draft advertisement must accompany the requisition. The contractor will be requested to submit a quotation, following which the relevant directorate or district office will be informed of the costs before an order is placed with the contractor. |
