1. This circular must be read in conjunction with Circular 0010/2008, dated 23 April 2008, which accompanied the final timetable for the National Senior Certificate Examinations of November 2008.
2. Please take note of the attached amendments to the timetable for the November 2008 National Senior Certificate Examinations. These amendments were made to accommodate some of the candidates' subject selections which could not be anticipated prior to the registration of candidates and their subjects.

3. The amendments now included in the attached timetable are as follows:
3.1 The duration of Home Languages Paper 2 is 2½ hours and not 2 hours.
3.2 All Second Additional Languages have 2 papers, instead of 3 papers.
3.3 Mechanical Technology has been moved from Monday, 17 November 2008 to Thursday, 13 November 2008.
3.4 Electrical Technology has been moved from Tuesday, 25 November 2008 to Wednesday, 3 December 2008.
3.5 Hospitality Studies has been moved from the morning session to the afternoon session on Tuesday, 2 December 2008.
3.6 The dates of Maritime Economics and Nautical Science are included in the attached timetable. Nautical Science Paper 1 will be written on Thursday, 6 November 2008 at 14:00. Maritime Economics has been scheduled for Friday, 28 November 2008 at 09:00, whilst Nautical Science Paper 2 will be written on Monday, 1 December 2008 at 09:00.

4. Enclosed is a copy of the amended final timetable for the 2008 National Senior Certificate examinations.
5. Principals are requested to bring these changes to the attention of all candidates writing the National Senior Certificate examinations in November / December 2008.
