In order to assist schools in their yearly planning the Western Cape Education Department has decided, as in the past, to provide all educational institutions with a school calendar.

The school calendar for 2008 will be provided to you by mail. Amongst others it indicates the dates before which educational institutions must submit certain forms and documents to Head Office or District Offices.

Principals are requested to display the school calendar where it can be checked regularly to ensure that surveys and other documentation are submitted promptly. For principals' convenience there is a column on the calendar in which the dates when surveys and documents have been submitted can be written for control purposes.
