The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) wishes to inform you that Ms Naledi Pandor, Minister of National Education, has given her consent to the reappointment of any teacher who left the service with the voluntary service package (VSP), including those who left the service in 1996/97 in terms of ELRC Resolution 3 of 1996 with the VSP.

This consent means that a fully qualified teacher who left the service with the VSP, and who applies to be re-appointed can be considered, provided he or she meets the requirements for the post.
