1. In terms of the multi-term agreement (Resolution 2 of 2004) reached by the Public Service Co-ordinating Bargaining Council on the improvement in conditions of service for employees of the State, your attention is drawn to the following:

  • A cost-of-living adjustment for employees (educators and public servants), effective from 1 July 2006

  • The programmatic re-structuring of the packages of employees (office-based educators and public servants in middle management structures)
2. Enclosed herewith are copies of the new salary scales for educators and public servants.
3. Please bring this circular to the attention of all employees in your institution or office.
