Circulars 0013/2004 and 0167/2003 and Examination Minute 0031/2004 indicate the closing date for entries for the Senior Certificate examinations as 15 March each year. This also applies to the grades on which candidates will write their subjects. According to Circular 0013/2004 candidates may, in exceptional circumstances, apply for grade changes before 30 April of the year of the examination. |

In 2004 Senior Certificate candidates who wrote a subject/subjects on a grade that differs from the one for which they were entered will receive their results as soon as the Department is able to process them, but their full results will not be available at the same time as those of the other candidates. |

Note that this concession applies only to the 2004 Senior Certificate examinations, and that the official WCED policy in this regard, as contained in Circular 0013/2004, will be applicable from 2005. |
