Attention is drawn to paragraph 6 of Annexure A to Circular 0041/2004 of 17 August 2004 in which schools were informed of the existance of contract RT 188/2003 (GR). |

Please note that it is not the intention of the Western Cape Education Department to compel schools to participate in any transversal contracts. Schools have the option to decide if they want to make use of the contract. Should schools be able to obtain the items elsewhere at a lower price, they are free to do so. If Non-Section 21 schools do not want to use the items on the contract, they may then obtain quotations offering the best value and submit it along with the requisition form (WCED 026). |
