1. The following relevant support materials are included (see Circular 0018/2003):
  • The Globe - the World’s Children’s Prize magazine. This international and comprehensive children’s rights magazine contains all the information and stories you will need for your learners to participate in the 2003 democratic children’s vote for one of the three nominees for the prize. (Won by child Aids activist Nkosi Johnson posthumously last year.)

  • The grey teacher’s guide outlines the voting procedure and contains ideas for classroom activities throughout the rest of the year.
2. The voting competition closes on 18 April 2003.
3. If you return the voting form your school will be registered. As a registered member, the school will continue to receive information as well as a free copy of The Globe magazine every year.
4. Membership entitles your school to participate in the various activities or competitions leading to the prize and links it with children and their rights within the global village. The school may also nominate a candidate for this prize of $50 000 which is awarded by Queen Silvia of Sweden to a child, adult or organisation who or which has done outstanding work for children and their rights.
